Ovie Sorgwe is a Human Physiologist, educator, author and educational innovator with over 19 years of experience in Human Anatomy and Physiology education, particularly within Nursing, Midwifery and allied health education. He is the Founder of Ovbryjod Education Hub, where he provides the organisation's visionary, academic, intellectual and content-development direction.
He holds an M.Sc. in Human Physiology from the University of Port Harcourt, a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Physiology with Distinction, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education with Upper Credit from the same university. He also holds a B.Sc. in Human Physiology.
Since beginning his teaching career in 2007, Ovie has developed extensive experience in teaching, curriculum development, examination administration, educational technology, academic quality assurance, institutional development, research, student mentorship and academic publishing. At the Bayelsa State College of Nursing Sciences, he has held several academic and administrative responsibilities, including Coordinator of ICT, Chairman of the College Business Committee, Secretary of the Curriculum Review Committee, and membership of the Academic Board and various examination and institutional committees.
As an author and knowledge creator, he has published textbooks in Human Anatomy and Physiology, Human Physiology, the Cardiovascular System and the Nervous System specifically designed for Nursing and Midwifery students. His scholarly interests also extend to educational technology, blended learning, educational administration, institutional accountability, curriculum development and healthcare education.
Ovie founded Ovbryjod Education Hub from a conviction that education should go beyond the transmission of information to build understanding, develop competence and create opportunities for meaningful application of knowledge. His long-term vision is to develop Ovbryjod into an integrated educational ecosystem where knowledge is created, published, taught, shared and transformed through technology and innovation, serving learners, educators and institutions in Nigeria and across Africa.
Yvonne Sorgwe Iwo-Brown is a strategic management professional, accountant, entrepreneur and business leader with extensive experience in finance, organisational management, business operations, strategic planning, people management and institutional development. She serves as the Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of Ovbryjod Education Hub, providing the executive, strategic, operational and business leadership required to translate the organisation's educational vision into a sustainable enterprise.
She holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Strategic Management from European Global Business School, Paris; an M.Sc. in Accounting with Merit from Leeds Metropolitan University, United Kingdom; and a B.Sc. in Accounting from Rivers State University of Science and Technology.
Her professional career spans Nigeria, the United Kingdom and the United States, with experience across banking, accounting, manufacturing, hospitality, public-sector projects, retail and entrepreneurship. She has worked with organisations including Allstates Trust Bank Plc, GE Capital, NHS Shared Business Services, Viessmann Manufacturing, Genesis Group and the Hydrocarbon Pollution Restoration Project. Her professional strengths include strategic management, financial planning and control, business operations, organisational systems, team development, risk management, partnerships and sustainable business growth.
Beyond corporate leadership, Yvonne has a strong record of humanitarian and community service. She served as the 8th President of the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Cosmopolitan (2024-2025) and serves as an Assistant Governor, Rotary District 9141 (2026-2027). Her service has supported initiatives in health, education, economic empowerment, youth development, peacebuilding and community development.
At Ovbryjod, Yvonne leads the development of the systems, resources, partnerships and organisational capacity required for sustainable growth across publishing, digital learning, educator development, educational technology, consultancy and related educational services. Her leadership complements the Founder's academic and intellectual direction by providing the strategy, management discipline and operational execution necessary to build Ovbryjod into a lasting educational institution.
Egile Thompson is an educator and administrative professional with experience spanning public-sector administration, teaching, communication and school-based institutional responsibilities. She serves as Company Secretary of Ovbryjod Education Hub, supporting the company's corporate documentation, administrative coordination, communication and organisational processes.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Education) in English from Ignatius Ajuru University of Education and previously completed a Pre-Degree Programme in Mass Communication at the University of Port Harcourt. She is also a registered teacher with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
Egile began her professional career in 2007 with the Rivers State Universal Basic Education Board (RSUBE) as a Clerical Officer, gaining early experience in documentation and public-sector administration. Since 2017, she has worked professionally as a teacher in her field.
Her professional development includes training in ASEI-SMASE and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for teachers, strengthening her experience in contemporary instructional practices and technology-supported education. She has also contributed to institutional life through welfare responsibilities and currently serves as a member of her school's Sports Committee.
As Company Secretary, Egile brings together her background in education, communication and administration to support effective record keeping, corporate correspondence, meeting documentation and administrative coordination. Her role complements the academic leadership of the Founder and the executive leadership of the CEO/MD, contributing to the orderly and professional administration of Ovbryjod Education Hub.
